Bark Air, FFGR's partnership for dog-first private charters, makes a simple promise: your companion travels in cabin, in comfort, on a private jet. No crates, no cargo holds, no anxiety. Here is everything you need to know.
The problem with commercial airline pet travel
Any dog owner who has attempted to fly commercially with a large breed will recognize the following experience: a 45-minute queue at a specialist cargo desk, a health certificate that required three veterinary visits to complete, a crate inspection, a wait in a holding area separated from your dog, and then six hours knowing that your companion is in a pressurized but unheated cargo hold, among luggage, with no human contact. The statistics on cargo pet mortality are not published prominently by airlines. Bark Air was founded because this situation was not inevitable — it was simply the result of commercial aviation prioritizing cargo density over passenger experience.
What Bark Air does differently
Bark Air operates private charters where the dog is the client. Seats are configured to allow dogs to sit with their owners. The cabin is stocked with dog-appropriate treats, water, and blankets. The flight crew is trained in dog-first protocols — including calm boarding, no sudden movements, and individual attention throughout the flight. There are no crates unless the owner prefers them. There are no cargo holds for dogs on any Bark Air flight.
The FFGR Nederland Bark Air partnership
Through our partnership with Bark Air, FFGR Nederland clients can book dog-first private charter flights from Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, or any European FBO with access to Bark Air's global network. The booking process is handled through the FFGR reservations team; the veterinary documentation (a standard health certificate from any licensed vet, valid 10 days) is the only additional requirement.
